Heritage items from UT sold for Rs2 74 crore

Chandigarh January 30Ten heritage items from Chandigarh were sold for Rs2.74 crore at an auction in Paris. The highest price of Rs58.67 lakh was fetched by a teak table. Of the 13 heritage items designed by architects Pierre Jeanneret and Le Corbusier put up at the auction on Thursday 10 items were sold. The items included a screen a pair of armchairs a sofa coffee table desk with storage double-sided storage unit a pair of armchairs library table bench seat working table sofa and a table etc. Eleven heritage items from the city were sold for Rs1.03 crore at an auction in Luxemburg on January 10.
