According to a report by The Tribune "A total of 4963 cases have been registered in March against 845 in February, registering a 487% increase in the number of cases".
The biggest concern is a weekly positivity rate of 12.8%, only second to that of Maharashtra in the entire country.
The areas which used to report the least number of cases are now facing the maximum number of cases in the city. In Manimajra, the maximum number of 34 cases have been reported in the last 24 hours, followed by 14 cases in Sector-28, 12 in Sector-20, 10 in Sector-15, 11 in Sector-40, 10 in Sector-41, 10 in Dadwa and 11 in Dhanas. 1754 sample tests were conducted in the last 24 hours.
Currently, the tally of active cases stands at 2831, while 329 people succumbed to the virus to date.
