Salon owner held for rape bid in Mohali

Mohali: The police arrested a salon owner Pawan Kumar Sharma on charges of attempt to rape and assault on a 28-year-old employee on June 26. Mohali: The police arrested a salon owner Pawan Kumar Sharma on charges of attempt to rape and assault on a 28-year-old employee on June 26. On a complaint of the victim a case was registered against the suspect under Sections 354 354-B 376 511 and 506 of the IPC at the Mataur police station. He has been remanded in two-day police custody. Investigating officer Baljeet Kaur said the incident occurred two-three days ago and the suspect a resident of Sector 70 had been arrested.
