Punjab Govt Shuffles 10 IAS, including 6 DCs

In a move aimed at strategizing for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the Punjab Government on Monday issued orders for the transfer of 10 IAS officers, including the Deputy Commissioners (DCs) of six districts. The orders, issued by the state Chief Secretary Anurag Verma, signal a significant administrative rejig in anticipation of the electoral process.   As per the orders, Sakshi Sahni has been appointed as the new DC of Ludhiana, while Shokat Ahmad Parray has been assigned the responsibility of Patiala; Harpreet Singh Sudan of Sri Muktsar Sahib, Jaspreet Singh of Bathinda, Aditya Uppal of Pathankot, and Amit Kumar Panchal of Kapurthala.   All officers are expected to assume their new roles promptly and efficiently, aligning themselves with the Governments electoral preparations.   Surabhi Malik, who will be replaced by Sahni as Ludhiana DC, has been given the charge of Punjab Energy Development Agencys (PEDA) chief executive against the vacant post.   The services of Kapurthala Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Amarpreet Kaur Sandhu, has been placed at the disposal of the Department of Housing and Urban Development for posting as the Jalandhar Development Authoritys chief administrator. Gautam Jain has been given the posting of Jalandhar Municipal Corporations commissioner, while Harpreet Singh will take over the charge of Amritsar Municipal Corporations commissioner.
