Punjab Congress president and party candidate from Ludhiana, Amarinder Singh Raja Warring on Monday said that the BJP candidate Ravneet Bittu has proved him right, sooner than expected, that once a traitor is always a traitor. He also cautioned people against voting for the AAP or the Akalis as that would mean indirectly helping the BJP candidate Bittu.  Replying to a question about Bittus conversation with Simarjit Singh Bains that has gone viral, Warring said, he (Bittu) has also proved that he can bite the hand that feeds him. He said, the BJP leaders must have realized so soon that he cannot be loyal to anyone. If he can betray the Congress that gave him so much, he can betray the BJP, which has nothing to offer him, he observed, while remarking, both the BJP and Bittu will realize on June 4 that they had committed a mutually fatal mistake out of sheer opportunism. Replying to another question on the reported statement of Congress leader Sukhpal Singh Khaira on outsiders buying properties in Punjab, Warring said, that although Khaira has already clarified and explained, he wanted to set the record straight. He said it goes without saying that the Congress party does not believe in discriminating against anyone for any reason whether caste, creed, colour, language, religion, region or state. He pointed out it is the Congress which is fighting the battle to save and protect the constitution for the same reasons. During his speeches, Warring said, that voting for the Aam Aadmi Party or the Shiromani Akali Dal or any other candidate would simply mean providing benefit to the BJP. He pointed out, it is no secret that the AAP Ludhiana candidate was fielded with the sole purpose of helping Bittu to cut into the Congress votes in urban areas, while the Akali candidate has been fielded with the same purpose for rural areas. If you want to ensure that the BJP candidate is defeated, if you want to democratically avenge the martyrdom of 700 farmers, if you want the farmers debts be waived off and if you want legal guarantee for the MSP, please ensure you only vote for the Congress, he said in an appeal to voters while addressing a series of meetings in Gill assembly segment.
