Take a selfie and win prizes, strengthen democracy: Hry CEO

Haryana Chief Electoral Officer Anurag Agarwal on Monday said that just as every run in a cricket match is important, similarly, every vote holds great significance in the grand festival of democracy. He encouraged the people of the State to enthusiastically cast their votes in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections on May 25.  He mentioned that a golden opportunity to win prizes has been provided for the students of the state. He explained that students who motivate their parents, grandparents, and relatives to vote and upload selfies with ink-marked fingers after voting will have the chance to win prizes.  Agarwal informed that at the district level, the winner in the first place will receive a cash prize of Rs. 10,000, the second place winner will receive Rs. 5,000, and the third position winner will receive Rs. 2,500. Apart from this, the school that uploads the most selfies at the district level will receive a cash prize of Rs. 25,000.  He urged students to take selfies and upload them on the Election Commissions website to win these prizes and contribute to strengthening democracy.
