Application process for film shooting permissions simplified in Hry, says IPR DG

Stating that the State Government has consistently made efforts to promote films, ensuring that every aspect receives full attention, the Director General, Department of Information, Public Relations, Language, and Culture, Mandip Singh Brar on Friday said that for the past two years, the Haryana Film Promotion Board has been working to allocate subsidies by inviting applications. The special locations have been identified to facilitate the shooting of various films, including Haryanvi films, and the application process for shooting permissions has been significantly simplified. Now, permissions can be obtained by applying online, he added. Addressing the gathering on the concluding day of the four-day second meeting of the Screening cum Evaluation Committee under the Haryana Film and Entertainment Policy at the Film Division Auditorium, Mahadev Road, New Delhi, the Director General said that a function will be organized soon to provide subsidies for the films selected during the screening. In addition to preserving traditional culture, cinema is being actively promoted through the film policy. The government is giving concrete shape to schemes by focusing on cultural genres alongside developmental themes, he added. During this, 17 films were screened. On the occasion, the Chairperson of the Screening cum Evaluation Committee and other members were honored by the Director General Brar. They were presented with mementos and shawls in recognition of their contributions. The programme was attended by the Chairperson of the Screening cum Evaluation Committee Mita Vashisht, along with committee members including Vice Chancellor of SUPVA, Gajendra Chauhan, and members Girish Dhamija, Atul Gangwar, Rajiv Bhatia, Art Officer Tanya JS Chauhan, and Suman Dangi from the Department of Art and Culture, Additional Director IPR Vivek Kalia, Joint Director Films Neeraj Kumar, Deputy Director Amit Pawar and other officers of the department.
