Improve all basic amenities in industrial areas: Hry CM asks officers

Emphasising that  the industrialists should not face any difficulties, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday directed the officers concerned to improve all basic amenities such as electricity, water, roads, and sewage in the industrial areas under the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (HSIIDC). The Chief Minister, presiding over a review meeting of HSIIDC along with the states Industry and Commerce Minister Mool Chand, also directed to start the necessary facilities in all the estates transferred from Haryana Urban Development Authority to HSIIDC as soon as possible. Obtaining detailed information about various HSIIDC estates in the state, Saini said that officers should set a timeline for completing any projects. If there is any laxity in this, necessary action could be taken against the concerned officials." Referring to the report on the damage caused by floods in the Ambala industrial area last year, he said that adequate arrangements should be made in advance considering the monsoon season this time so that no industrialist suffers any loss, he added. The Chief Minister advised treating the water discharged from industries properly through treatment plants and reusing it. He also emphasized ensuring that groundwater does not get contaminated so that the drinking water for citizens remains safe. He also obtained information about the various ongoing and proposed projects by HSIIDC in the state and gave necessary instructions in this regard.
