20% of basic pay training allowance approved for Police Instructors: Hry DGP

Haryana Director General of Police (DGP) Shatrujeet Kapur on Sunday said that the State Government has approved a training allowance of 20 percent of the basic pay for instructors appointed at all Haryana Police training centers. The information was shared by the DGP after attending the convocation parade of Recruit Batch No. 90 at the Haryana Police Academy, Madhuban, Karnal, wherein 988 recruits took the oath of duty and dedicated themselves to public service.   DGP Kapur said that the State Government has also increased the uniform allowance, ration allowance, and the ex-gratia amount given to the families of martyrs by two and a half to three times. The policy of providing jobs to dependents of deceased police personnel, initiated in 2019, has already resulted in 281 people receiving employment under this scheme. Travel allowance for police personnel has also been doubled from 10 to 20 days, he added.   The state police chief, addressing the recruits, emphasized that the police represent the face of law and order in society and should interact with citizens with empathy and sensitivity. He remarked that joining the police force is not just a profession but a call to serve with integrity, courage, and compassion.   DGP Kapur further said that as many as 988 constables participated in todays convocation parade. Of these, 896 trainees received training at the Haryana Police Academy, Madhuban, and 92 at RTC, Navel, starting on September 11, 2023. The batch included 207 postgraduates, 32 professional postgraduates, 552 graduates, 125 professional graduates, and 72 who passed the twelfth standard, DGP added.
