Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Tuesday led Tiranga Yatra – Ek Yatra Deshbhakti Ke Naam" as part of a nationwide BJP programme to honour the Indian armed forces for their role in Operation Sindoor. The historic success of Operation Sindoor has showcased Indias national resolve, the bravery of its soldiers and the firm leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi globally, he said while addressing the people in Panchkula. The yatra began with patriotic slogans like Bharat Mata Ki Jai and Vande Mataram and concluded at the Major Sandeep Shankla memorial. A large number of people, including children and women, participated in the 2-km yatra, paying homage to the soldiers of the country. Saini and his cabinet colleagues paid floral tributes to the martyrs at the memorial. Saini said, Our soldiers have taught a tough lesson to those who threaten the nation. They ensured that the national flag, the Tricolor, which symbolizes the pride and honour of Mother India, never bowed down. He explained that the Tiranga Yatra is not just a celebration of Mother Indias pride, but a tribute to the self-respect and valor of the nation. It is an expression of our national unity, consciousness, and pride. The yatra is dedicated to the warriors who responded to the enemy in their own language and continues to inspire us to embrace patriotism in every moment.  He said, The courage, loyalty and discipline with which our brave soldiers carried out Operation Sindoor under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi has become not just a military operation but a symbol of Indias national dignity. The clear message from the Prime Minister, India will go to any extent to protect its citizens, has resonated across the globe. This reflects the self-confidence of a new India and the identity of a developed nation. The Chief Minister said that Operation Sindoor led to the destruction of numerous terrorist bases and sent a clear message to Pakistan: the price of attacking Indias sovereignty is extremely high. When it comes to the nations security, India does not compromise. India changed the definition of war with Operation Sindoor. He further said that in addition to military action, India also took strong non-military measures. The Indus Water Treaty was suspended, and all exchanges, whether related to artists, visas, or trade were halted. Pakistani citizens were sent back, the Attari border was sealed, terrorist networks were exposed, and Pakistan was isolated from the global community. This was not just a military strike—it was a statement of the new Indias resolve and strength. Our forces did not merely launch missiles; they delivered a message so powerful that it resonated even in the United States and China. This is the new India, the strong India, under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. Later, talking to media persons, Saini said that the true face of Pakistan has been exposed to the world as a country that sponsors terrorism and fosters its growth. He emphasized that India has taken strong action against terrorism. Armed forces have systematically destroyed terrorist hideouts first through surgical strikes, then through airstrikes, and now with Operation Sindoor.  In reply to a question, the Chief Minister said that in the tragic incident in Pahalgam, Pakistan-sponsored terrorists destroyed the sindoor of our sisters and daughters in front of their eyes. At that moment, Prime Minister Modi had vowed to eliminate terrorism, and through Operation Sindoor, the army has taken significant steps to eradicate it. The Chief Minister further highlighted that in his address to the nation yesterday, Prime Minister Modi made it clear that terrorism will not be tolerated under any circumstances. He said, Our brave soldiers, demonstrating unmatched valor and determination, have not only eliminated hundreds of terrorists but have also destroyed their training camps. These camps, where terrorists were trained, had been used to send militants into India. In reply to another question, Saini said that today the opposition has no real issues and has lost its footing. He said that the opposition initially raised questions over the surgical strikes and airstrikes, and now they are demanding a special session of the Lok Sabha after Operation Sindoor. However, he clarified that during the all-party meeting, the opposition was provided with full information about Operation Sindoor.
