A big park in Haryana to be named after Lord Parshuram: CM

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Friday said that one of the States major parks will be named after Lord Parshuram. Saini, addressing a state-level function celebrating Lord Parshurams birth anniversary in Pahrawar village of Rohtak, described Parshuram as a mighty warrior, a scholar of the Vedas, and a great social reformer.   Saini announced a matching grant from the state government to the Gaur Brahmin Vidya Pracharini Sabha in Pahrawar village for the construction of Campus-III educational institutions. The government will provide a matching grant exceeding the amount collected by the society for these institutions. In addition, one of the states major parks will be named after Lord Parshuram, he added.   On this occasion, Saini also announced a grant of Rs 51 lakh. He further said that other demands submitted will be forwarded to the relevant departments for feasibility assessment, and efforts will be made to prioritize and fulfil them.   Earlier, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for a total of nine projects worth Rs 61.23 crore, including laying the foundation stones for five projects valued at Rs 54.26 crore and inaugurating four projects worth Rs 6.97 crore.   Saini, while paying tribute to Lord Parshuram as well as commemorating the martyrdom day of Sikh Guru Arjan Dev and the birth anniversary of Arut Maharaj, said that all these great personalities dedicated their entire lives to the establishment of religion, social unity, harmony, and culture. Their life journeys continue to inspire us to follow the path of righteousness and serve humanity.   The Chief Minister further stated that as we progress with the vision of building a developed India and a developed Haryana under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the ideals and messages of Lord Parshuram inspire us to stay on the right path. He said that as we advance ambitious campaigns like Developed India, Digital India, and Startup India, we must all contribute to making India a global leader once again by taking a firm pledge inspired by the resolve of Lord Parshuram.   Saini said that Lord Parshuram destroyed injustice not for personal gain but for the welfare of society and the protection of religion. Inspired by this spirit, our Armed Forces, under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, carried out Operation Sindoor after the cowardly incident in Pahalgam, targeting terrorist hideouts in Pakistan with precision — ensuring no harm came to innocent civilians. The Prime Ministers clear message is that anyone who threatens us will not be spared.   Referring to the various initiatives undertaken by the state government for the welfare and upliftment of the Brahmin community, the Chief Minister said that the medical college in Kaithal has been named after Lord Parshuram to inspire future generations with his teachings and ideals. Additionally, the government has declared a gazetted holiday on the birth anniversary of Lord Parshuram.   He further said that the longstanding land dispute of the Gaur Brahmin College in Pahrawar village, which had persisted since 2013, has been resolved. The government has also approved 100 BMS seats at the Gaur Brahmin Ayurveda College, and classes have commenced. A postage stamp in the name of Lord Parshuram has been issued, and land has been allotted for a Brahmin Dharamshala in Karnal.
