17,048 eligible for Class XI admission

CHANDIGARH: Out of 17,604 applicants for science , commerce, humanities, and vocational courses in Class XI , 17,048 made it to Tuesday's common merit list on the UT education department website This tentative list includes the names of all candidates considered eligible. The department has listed action points to help the candidates know the common errors to check. The department has invited objections by Wednesday .The particulars to check include spellings of the name, form number, parents' names, and address. By 2pm on Wednesday , the discrepancies must be reported at the Government Model Senior Secondary Schools in Sectors 35 and 19. Also, 56 candidates were not considered over submitting multiple forms.
