Undergoes surgeryThe woman, a resident of Thazhambur near Navalur on the IT Corridor, was identified through her ID card. The police said she had been robbed but denied that she was molested. The police said the victim, identified as P. Lavanya, an employee of an IT company in Pallikaranai, was reportedly returning home from work around 3 a.m. via the Thazhambur-Perumbakkam Road on her bike. We have collected clues from the spot and hope to arrest the perpetrators soon,” he said.

She was reportedly hit on the head with an iron rod. Police sources said she was dragged to a field after being attacked. The attackers also took her backpack and her vehicle. She was found in the field, bleeding profusely, by residents of the area, who informed the police. The police have not managed to establish any clear motive for the attack. They are waiting for the victim to recover to record her version of the incident. Undergoes surgery The woman, a resident of Thazhambur near Navalur on the IT Corridor, was identified through her ID card. She was admitted to a private hospital, where she underwent surgery. She is reportedly recovering. The police said she had been robbed but denied that she was molested. A senior police official said, “We do not really know what happened. Only after she wakes up can we file a case. We have collected clues from the spot and hope to arrest the perpetrators soon,” he said. On receiving information of the incident, senior police officials visited the spot.
