Woman sets herself on fire after police inquiry

A 34-year-old woman set herself on fire in front of the Thiruverkadu police station on Tuesday upset over an inquiry against her in a quarrel with her neighbour. The name of the victim was given as Renuka, 34, wife of Gajendran of Senthamizh Nagar, Koladi near Thiruverkadu. Her family was constructing a toilet adjoining to her neighbour Amirthavalli’s premises. She died of burns in the Government Kilpauk Hospital on Wednesday.
