Man, woman found dead, suicide pact suspected

MADURAI: A 24-year-old man and a woman were found dead inside a house in Jaihindpuram in Madurai city on Saturday evening. However, they did not see the woman entering or going out. The bodies were shifted to Government Rajaji Hospital for post-mortem.Neighbours have revealed that they had seen Nagaraj entering the house in the morning and left in some other time. They were found dead in the house belonging to Nagaraj’s relative in Visalampakkam Second Street. Nagaraj was working in a Jio mobile network centre whereas Nandini was a nurse at Melakkal primary health centre.

MADURAI: A 24-year-old man and a woman were found dead inside a house in Jaihindpuram in Madurai city on Saturday evening. While a suicide pact is suspected in the incident, investigating officers are yet to come up with a solid evidence to back up the claim.The man was found hanging form ceiling while the woman was found unconscious on the floor, raising speculations she might have consumed to kill self. A case has been registered under the section crpc – 174 (suspicious death) based on a complaint from Madakulam VAO Sekar and an inquiry was under way to find the cause.The deceased were idenitified as P Nagaraj, 24, from Pathaneri in Sivaganga district and A Nandini, 23, from Thodaneri near Samayanallur in Madurai district. They were found dead in the house belonging to Nagaraj’s relative in Visalampakkam Second Street. Nagaraj was working in a Jio mobile network centre whereas Nandini was a nurse at Melakkal primary health centre. He was staying in a relative’s house in the city.On being alerted, Jaihindpuram police rushed to the house and carried out an inspection. Higher police officials, including deputy commissioner (law and order) V Sasimohan, conducted an inquiry at the site. The bodies were shifted to Government Rajaji Hospital for post-mortem.Neighbours have revealed that they had seen Nagaraj entering the house in the morning and left in some other time. However, they did not see the woman entering or going out.
