CHENNAI: AMMK leader TTV Dhinakaran on Saturday demanded that the probe on the allegations levelled by the accused in Kodanad robbery and mysterious deaths of the employees, should be monitored by high court judge or the court should take suo moto cognizance of the case.Dhinakaran, nephew of V K Sasikala , said the former chief minister J Jayalalithaa worked tirelessly for the people and had chosen Kodanad estate as her retreat whenever she wanted to take rest. The robbery and deaths in the estate in 2017 had shaken not only the cadres but the entire Tamil Nadu . “There were reports of involvement of an influential person. Giving credence to the report, the investigation was moving on suspiciously until recently,” Dhinakaran said.The AMMK leader wondered why the investigation was not intensified by the administrators, who claimed to have been running Jayalalithaa’s government. “When there are so many investigative agencies and fast track courts, why this delay? The report put out by the former Tehelka journalist is a key, where the accused had alleged the involvement of chief minister,” Dhinakaran said, raising doubts over the fair probe by the central and state agencies when the allegation was made against the one in power.
