BJP forcing AIADMK to align: Ex-TNCC chief

PUDUKKOTTAI: Former Tamil Nadu Congress Committee president S Thirunavukkarasar on Friday criticised the BJP for coercing the AIADMK into an alliance for the Lok Sabha elections “BJP is in a hurry to form an alliance. But they could not find a party interested to align with them. So, they exerted force on the AIADMK, by compulsion and intimidation, to have talks with them over alliance,” Thirunavukkarasar told the reporters in Pudukkottai.He said there was a difference of opinion within the AIADMK whether a poll pact with the BJP was a necessary one.He said Congress president Rahul Gandhi and general secretary Priyanka Gandhi would campaign in Tamil Nadu after the announcement of elections.
