DHARMAPURI: DMK president M K Stalin has said he would order a detailed probe into the death of former chief minister J Jayalallithaa if people vote him to power in the state. “The high court has set aside the election of Tiruparangkundram MLA A K Bose, who died last year, in 2016 saying there were violation of norms in affixing of then party chief Jaya’s thumb impression on his nomination papers. It confirms that Sasikala and gang were playing a drama in the Apollo hospital with Jaya’s body,” he said while campaigning for the party’s MP and MLA candidates in the district on Friday evening. “If people bring me to power, I will bring the accused to justice.”He had participated in an election meeting at Pappireddipatty, where he introduced MP candidate Dr Senthil Kumar , and MLA candidates A Mani (Pappireddipatty) and Krishnakumar ( Harur ) to the public, on Friday.On Saturday morning, he visited an uzavar shandi in the town and campaigned for Dr Senthil Kumar. Later, he inaugurated the party election office in the tow and left for Kambainallur to attend a meeting with farmers. He also attended a meeting in Harur assembly constituency.
