The film, directed by Sam Anton, is set to hit screens on June 28. “I have always been in awe of Yogi Babu’s performance. He is a phenomenal actor and is so humble. But I request him to take care of his health, especially after achieving success. With success responsibility increases, and hence he must eat and sleep well. I am sure this film has already become a profitable venture even before its release,” Siddharth added. An emotionally charged Yogi Babu said, “The first time I met Sam Anton was during the shoot of Enakku Innoru Peru Irukku, where I had some humorous lines to render and he gave me complete freedom to go ahead and improvise. We instantly gelled. Hence Gurkha is a special movie for me. It turns to be an emotional thing for me recollecting the moments, where I used to stand outside Sathyam Cinemas and today I am here on stage. I am thankful to each and everyone for making my dream come true.” SP Balasubramaniam, Karu Pazhaniappan, Manobala, Ravindhran Chandrashekar, Mayilsamy, Arunraja Kamaraja, Raj Bharath among others graced the occasion.
