Covid 19 spread under control in Chennai News Today

Chennai: The test positivity rate (TPR) in the city is at five per cent a first in seven months. According to data given by the Greater Chennai Corporation this morning the tally of total positive cases was 4622 which is at two per cent. Since the lockdown Chennai has recorded 211084 cases of Covid-19 of which 202660 have recovered over the months. Currently Anna Nagar has 411 positive cases and 309 cases are reported in Kodambakkam. Places such as Manali have the least number of cases at 47 and Shollinganallur has 57 positive cases.

Chennai: The test positivity rate (TPR) in the city is at five per cent a first in seven months. This is an indication that the spread of coronavirus infection is well under control. However the State Government is in no mood to give more relaxations and will continue with the same set of rules and increased testing. According to data given by the Greater Chennai Corporation this morning the tally of total positive cases was 4622 which is at two per cent. Since the lockdown Chennai has recorded 211084 cases of Covid-19 of which 202660 have recovered over the months. The recovery rate in the city is at 96 per cent. The most number of recoveries took place at Anna Nagar with 22484 persons overcoming covid. It is reported that nearly 3802 persons have died due to the viral infection. As per records 479 persons died in Teynampet 430 casualties were reported in Anna Nagar and 422 deaths were recorded in Kodambakkam. On 21 November 10009 tests were carried out by the City Corporations health department. Currently Anna Nagar has 411 positive cases and 309 cases are reported in Kodambakkam. Places such as Manali have the least number of cases at 47 and Shollinganallur has 57 positive cases. Nearly 62.39 per cent of those affected with Covid are male and 37.61 per cent are female. The viral infection has most affected people in the age group of 50-59 with 20.78 per cent belonging to this age group.
