10 year old gets vision at Sankara Nethralaya News Today

Chennai: Vignesh a 10-year-old was diagnosed with congenital cataract (cataract at birth) in both eyes. Vignesh could not be operated since he was a baby. However he was successfully treated at Sankara Nethralaya. He was helped throughout the process by Latha working with Sankara Nethralaya. She took it up as a responsibility to ensure that Vignesh received the right treatment though QCV-REACH screening program of Orbit India.

Chennai: Vignesh a 10-year-old was diagnosed with congenital cataract (cataract at birth) in both eyes. Vignesh could not be operated since he was a baby. With no medical aid to proceed further Vigneshs parents thought it is better to get him treated when he is a little older but soon realised that he may not be treated at all as one of their relatives who was Vigneshs uncle had a similar problem of poor vision which could not be treated. However he was successfully treated at Sankara Nethralaya. Vignesh had both his eye operated on and his sight was restored. It was like a miracle for Vignesh and his family as he saw the world through his eyes for the first time after 11 years says a press note. He was helped throughout the process by Latha working with Sankara Nethralaya. She took it up as a responsibility to ensure that Vignesh received the right treatment though QCV-REACH screening program of Orbit India.
