Traders want poll restrictions eased News Today

Chennai: Tamilnadu Vanigar Sangankalin Peramaippu a federation of traders unions in the State has urged the Election Commission to ease restrictions on traders. With the model code of conduct coming into effect ahead of Tamilnadu Assembly elections carrying cash more than Rs 50000 without documents is subjected to seizure. According to the federation's president A M Vikramaraja this affects the livelihood of small and medium traders. He requested the Election Commission to relax restrictions like this to help carry out traders to carry out their business as usual.
