Chennai: Chief Minister M K Stalin has instructed officials in the Commercial Taxes and Registration Department to ensure ease and transparency in registration of property documents of the general public. Speaking at a review meeting he said prompt services should be provided to people. Once the computerisation of procedures is complete at sub registrar offices people will be able to obtain documents online a press release about the meeting said. Stalin has also directed the administration to take up measures to set up an exclusive department and a welfare board for the welfare of non-resident Tamils living abroad and to support those in distress in foreign countries and those returned to the State.
