The housing and urban development department has issued a notification declaring 45 villages in Cuddalore and Nagapattinam districts as PCPIR on July 19.Citing a TOI report, Ramadoss said that the minister was not aware that 45 lakh people in the two districts would be affected due to the project.

I will study it and discuss the further course of action with the chief minister," he had told TOI.------
