Poultry firm owner’s property to be auctioned off

Tirupur: The district administration has scheduled auction of a property owned by a poultry farm owner, who cheated 113 investors . The property, worth Rs 13.4 lakh, will come under hammer on February 23, a senior revenue official said. The Coimbatore special court for TNPID act had directed the district administration to recover the money from the company’s owner M Murugavel. Murugavel’s 1,050-sqft house in Udumalpet was scheduled to be auctioned on December 14. The investrors had lodged complaints against Sadhya Poultry Farm in Udumalpet with the Economic Offenses Wing (EOW) police, who registered a case against the company for cheating invesors to the tune of Rs 1.32 crore.
