As many as 138 officials of the Tamil Nadu Rural Development Officers’ Association, including 32 women, were arrested, when they resorted to road blockade near the Collectorate demanding implementation of 27-point charter of demands on Monday. The Members of the association are on an indefinite strike from July 3 alleging that the State Government had failed to issue GO even for the demands that were accepted during negotiations.
