COIMBATORE: The process of framing new curriculum for Classes II, III, IV, V, VII, VIII, X and XII, would start soon, Tamil Nadu minster for school education K A Sengottaiyan said on Saturday.Talking to reporters here, the minister said he would convene a meeting in the coming week to discuss the new curriculum.Sengottaiyan was here to attend an event to felicitate matriculation schools in the city which had secured 100% results in board exams.Speaking of the team which had framed the curriculum for Classes I, VI, IX and XI, Sengottaiyan said the team was headed by M Anandakrishnan, former vice- chancellor of Anna University and former chairman of IIT Kanpur. The team also consisted of 14 educationists,The minister added that Atal Tinkering Labs would be set up in 500 schools across the state within three months. For this, the state has been working together with the Centre, he said.“Through these labs, students would get familiar with latest technologies,” he said.
