This weekend, get set to laugh out loud as some of the ace comedians in the country are all set to tickle your funny bones at the annual comedy fest Laughathon. Standup comedians Vaibhav Sethia Bhargav Ramakrishnan aka Baggy and Vamsidhar Bhograj will be at the helm of affairs as they take the audience through a journey of humor, spontaneity and rib-tickling riot. With city-based satirist Dr G Lakshmipathi kick-starting the evening, there will be a heavy dose of humour.Avinash Agarwal tells us, “I had performed in Coimbatore few months ago for the Coimbatore Humour Society Trust and I found out that people here are extremely happy. But, rich people aren’t supposed to be happy. I want to find out what exactly is keeping them so cheerful. Most of my jokes will be connected to day-to-day mundane affairs like family and traffic. I will be doing some observational humour.”Chennai boy Baggy will dole out some self-depreciating humour along with his other jokes. “There will be lot of audience interaction. I have heard that the audience here is hungry for some good comedy.” Those seated in the front rows, get ready to be trolled. While Vaibhav Sethia will steer clear of jokes on politics, religion or society, he will have a bunch of stories from everyday life. “I will be performing by show Onto Something. There will be some true-ish stories, mixed with ridicules. I keep my comedy as generic as possible so that all kinds of audience can relate to it. There won’t be much audience interaction in my show as I feel that those in the back rows can get disconnected.”Actor, comedian and writer Vamsidhar Bhogaraju from Bengaluru will have the audience eating out his hands with his jokes. “My standup comedy is personal and mostly revolves around things that happened in my life.
