4 arrested for killing history-sheeter

Coimbatore: Four people have been arrested for murdering a 33-year-old history-sheeter at Ganapathy on a few days ago.The arrested were identified as Sudhakar, 32, of Ganapathy, Gopalakrishnan, 31, of Jayaprakash Nagar and Kuttai Senthil alias Senthil Kumar, 39, and Praveen Kumar, 27, both hailing from Rathinapuri.The four had on Monday stabbed to death Karikalan, a resident of Thangammal Nagar near Maniyakaranpalayam, who had come out on bail from the Coimbatore Central Prison two months ago. “An altercation broke out between them and soon they started to exchange blows,” the official said.Karikalan and his aide attempted to flee, and the former ran into a nearby lathe shop, where Senthil and his friends stabbed him to death and fled.

A couple of weeks ago, Karikalan had threatened to murder Senthil if he didn’t settle the amount at the earliest.”On Monday, Karikalan and his aide met Senthil, who was accompanied by three friends, at Ganapathy and asked him to return the money. “An altercation broke out between them and soon they started to exchange blows,” the official said.Karikalan and his aide attempted to flee, and the former ran into a nearby lathe shop, where Senthil and his friends stabbed him to death and fled.
