Coimbatore: A spotted male deer, which accidently fell into a small pond on an agricultural field near Thalavadi in Erode district, was rescued on Monday.According to a forest officer, Velusamy, of Kettavdi village, had set up a farm pond to irrigate potato crops on his agriculture land, which is located at least 2km from the reserve forest in Thalavadi forest range.“On Monday, the deer, aged about 5 years, entered the field searching for food and fell into the pond,” the officer said.When Velusamy visited the field, he found the deer struggling for its life in the pond.
