CPM seeks probe into all suicide cases of women in Pollachi in last seven years

Natarajan said besides a thorough probe on the sexual assault complaint, the police should also re-investigate suicides of women in Pollachi as they could be victims of the sex scandal.The police are yet to receive complaints but for the lone complaint from a 19-year-old victim. Four accused have been arrested and booked under Goondas Act. COIMBATORE: The Communist Party of India (Marxist) has sought a probe into all suicide cases of women in Pollachi in the last seven years.Filing his nomination papers for Coimbatore Parliament constituency on Monday, CPM candidate P R Natarajan, said the ruling AIADMK government should be removed in order to ensure a fair probe in the Pollachi sexual assault case.“Only if the AIADMK goes out of power, a thorough probe would be conducted and the culprits punished,” he told mediapersons.
