TIRUPUR: A trial court here has awarded 5 years imprisonment to a youth for sexually harassing 10-year-old girl in Tamil Nadu 's Tirupur on Thursday.T Siva, 30, of Usilampatti in Madurai district migrated to Tirupur, and was staying in Chinnandipalayam near Kulathupalayam. On Thursday, Tirupur fast track mahila court awarded him 5 years imprisonment. On June 4, 2019, T Siva sexually harassed a dalit girl who had gone to attend nature's call in a secluded place in Chinnandipalayam.Tirupur south all women police registered the case under Scheduled caste/scheduled tribe (prevention of atrocities) amendment act, 2015, and Prevention of children from sexual offences act against Siva.
