Students can get documents verified at IITBBS from June 28

So we are doing it like other IITs," said Debaraj Rath, registrar of IIT Bhubaneswar."Students will need to report to the institute between 9 am and 5 pm during these days to get their educational certificates and other documents checked," Rath added.IIT Bhubaneswar has 360 undergraduate seats. "But we are not conducting document verification for our students only. Even students who have got seats in others IITs can come to our institute for that purpose," he said.Rath also said IIT Bhubaneswar will conduct the orientation programme on July 25. "Parents can also take part in the programme. We will interact with our students and make them comfortable before they join the institute," he added.During interaction, students will also get to know about their teachers, the registrar said. "Student counsellors will discuss with the students and inform them about the anti-ragging policy of the institute. During the open house day, the students can explore various departments, see the facilities and interact with IIT faculty."The students will also get a chance to visit different departments and buildings in the campus to feel its uniqueness," Rath said.The institute had conducted an Open House on June 17 for JEE Advanced rank holders and students preparing for JEE examinations to clear their doubts over career choice and studying in IIT.Prospective students and their parents had participated in the live interaction session and asked questions regarding IITs. Special counselling had been planned for prospective female candidates as well.
