Book fair debut at Cuttack dance fest

CUTTACK: For the first time, a book fair will be part of dance festival Barabati Nrutyoutsaba, which will start here on Thursday evening.The state department of Odia language , literature and culture would organize the book fair as part of the 18th edition of the Nrutyoutsaba at Killa Maidan, district culture officer Ananta Prasad Sethi told the media here on Wednesday.Space for around 30 stalls or kiosks will be provided free of cost to the publishers of the state to participate in the fair. "A meeting of poets and a recitation session will be organized as part of the fair," Sethi said.The five-day festival, which is being organized by the city-based Odissi Nrutya Mandal (ONM) in association with the tourism department and the district administration, will have another 20 stalls that will be set up by the state industries department and the Odisha Rural Development and Marketing Society (Ormas).Guru Ashis Das, secretary of ONM, said pioneering Odissi dancer Padmashree Minati Mishra would be honoured with the first Barabati Nrutya Sanman this year.
