Odisha Registers 573 Fresh Cases, Highest One Day Spike Of The Year

Covid-19 is turning uncontrollable in the state as the number of cases are jumping to new heights with each passing day.

Covid-19 cases crossed the one lakh mark across the country, while Odisha reported 573 fresh cases in the last 24 hours. Around 500 cases were being registered in the past three days in the state.

According to the information received from the State Information and Public Relations Department, today the highest positive cases 96 were received in Khurda district, besides 80 from Sundargarh district, 60 from Nuapada district, 43 from Bargarh district, 39 from Jharsuguda district, 32 from Anugul district, Cuttack received 28 cases while 24 people have been found infected in Kalahandi district.

Apart from this, 22 people in Statepul and 21 from Sambalpur district, 20 from Balangir district, 16 from Puri district, 16 from Raigada district, 13 from Jajpur district, 13 from Mayurbhanj district, 11 from Baleshwar district, 8 from Ganjam district, Kendujhar district. 8, 3 people from Bhadrak district, 3 from Gajapati district, 3 from Koraput district, 2 from Sonpur district, 1 from Deogarh district, 1 from Kandhamal district, 1 from Kandhamal district and 1 person Nayagarh district have been found Covid-19 positive.


Odisha`s Covid tally mounted to 3,43,268 while 3,37,935 people have gone to their homes receiving treatment. Currently, there are 3,358 active patients being treated in various Covid hospitals of the state.
