Gurugram begins preparation

With the schedule of the Lok Sabha elections being announced by the Election Commission of India the district administration of Gurugram has also started preparation for the event. According to the schedule, voting will be held in Gurugram Lok Sabha constituency on 25th May. After this, the counting of votes will be done on June 4. District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Gurugram Nishant Kumar Yadav said that notification for the Lok Sabha elections will be issued on April 29 and the process of nomination will start from the same day. "Candidates can file their nomination papers till 6th May. Nomination papers will be sorted out on May 7 and names can be withdrawn till May 9. The time for filing nomination papers will be from 11 am to 3 pm," Yadav said. He said that for the elections the candidate will have to open a new bank account. If the candidate is a resident of outside Gurugram district, then he should get his name verified from the competent authority. The District Election Officer said that if any political party wants to take out a convoy for a rally or road show, then it is necessary to get permission from the district administration. "When a road show convoy comes out, it should not cause road jam. No political party will be able to take out a road show convoy from the place where there will be a hospital and trauma centre. Apart from this, loudspeakers will not be used from 10 pm to 6 am," he said. During the Model Code of Conduct, no rest house, post office or government house will be used by political parties. Apart from this, no political person will be able to use words related to caste and religion in his speech. Political parties will not be able to use photographs of temples, mosques, gurudwaras and churches on their banners.
