In an apparent reaction to the Supreme Courts decision to grant interim bail to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, senior BJP leader Vinay Sahasrabuddhe on Friday said the lordships have made themselves a part of the campaign by picking a side right in the middle of the elections. By picking a side right in the middle of elections, the lordships that be have made themselves a part of the campaign. When the billion ballots speak, they may not like it, he wrote on X. This comes after the Supreme Court granted interim bail to Kejriwal till June 1 to campaign in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections.  Reacting to the decision, BJP spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain said bail does not amount to acquittal and asserted that Kejriwals release will have no impact on the elections.  The BJP will win all seven seats in Delhi, he told reporters in Patna. Meanwhile, Delhi BJP said the bail is not proof of being innocent and sometimes even criminals are released on parole. BJP candidate from South Delhi Parliamentary seat and Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly, Ramvir Singh Bidhuri said the Supreme Court has only granted Arvind Kejriwal interim bail for 20 days. Such bail is also granted to dangerous criminals for specific purposes. In the eyes of the Supreme Court, Kejriwal is an accused, hence several conditions have been imposed on him, he said. Bidhuri stated that the Aam Aadmi Party is celebrating Kejriwals bail as though the court has exonerated him. Today, they are shouting the slogan Satyamev Jayate (truth alone triumphs), and from June 2, they will start claiming that the constitution is in danger because Kejriwal has to return to jail. Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva said that while the BJP respects the Supreme Courts decision, getting interim bail does not mean that Delhis Chief Minister is free of guilt. Sometimes even criminals are released on parole, and this is a legal process, so it does not prove that Arvind Kejriwal, who was the main culprit in the multi-million rupee liquor scam, is innocent today, Sachdeva said. Further, Sachdeva asserted that truth cant be defeated. He said, The truth may have been delayed but its not defeated because the truth is that only Arvind Kejriwal is responsible for the liquor scam in Delhi, pushing youth into addiction, and bringing in a new liquor policy to fill his pockets. Attacking the AAP for portraying that the AAP chief has been acquitted of his charges in the alleged excise policy linked money laundering scam, Sachdeva said, The way Aam Aadmi Party leaders are trying to portray that Arvind Kejriwal has been acquitted, they are once again misleading the people of Delhi and betraying them, adding that the people of Delhi understand that whether it is a liquor scam or other scandals in Delhi, Kejriwal is the mastermind behind all of them. Taking a jibe at AAP for creating a stir for jailed Chief Minister, he said, AAP has no local issues for the elections because as a state government, they have done nothing in the last 10 years. So they created a stir in the name of Arvind Kejriwal being jailed and are now trying to create a deceptive atmosphere of coming out of jail, which the people of Delhi will not buy. BJP candidates will win all seven seats in the upcoming elections.
