School of Open Learning students protest at Miranda House

NEW DELHI: School of Open Learning students at Miranda House staged a protest on Wednesday against the college administration for framing discriminatory, sexist rules. The principal, Pratibha Jolly, had told TOI on Tuesday that the notice was unsigned and issued keeping the safety of the students in mind. The students met the principal and submitted a memorandum demanding an immediate annulment of the rules. She will address the students on January 15.Principal Pratibha Jolly said two student representatives met her. "The students decided to protest following a notice that was allegedly put up on November 27, threatening suspension if the girls were found clicking selfies, combing their hair or "modelling" in the gallery.
