There will also be a tailback of heavy vehicles on the highway waiting to enter Faridabad. The closed stretch will be from Hanuman temple to Bata Chowk metro station. Parking at the station will also remain closed during these hours.To ensure smooth movement of vehicles, Faridabad traffic police will divert heavy vehicles from Palwal towards Delhi at Sectors 4 and 8 via Goodyear Chowk. FARIDABAD: Commuters travelling to Faridabad from Delhi and Gurgaon are likely to face congestion on Friday during the morning rush hours as a kilometre-long stretch on Delhi-Chennai highway will be closed between 4.30 am and 8 am for the installation of a pedestrian footover bridge.The footover bridge will be installed near Hanuman Mandir. Heavy vehicles from Delhi which are headed towards Palwal and Ballabhgarh in Haryana will be diverted via Ajronda flyover to Outer Bypass Road, said Sube Singh, PRO, Faridabad police.Light vehicles will be allowed to use the service lanes and the internal sector roads.While authorities aim to wrap up work on the footover bridge by 8 am, office-goers could face traffic snarls in case it goes beyond the scheduled hours.
