GHAZIABAD: A 48-year-old woman and her daughter were found dead at their home in Nyay Khand in Indirapuram on Tuesday night. Police said prima facie it looked like a case of suicide.While Deepa Bisht, a homemaker, was found lying on the bed, her daughter Prema, a chartered accountant , was found hanging from the ceiling fan. A purported suicide note apologising to younger daughter Monu for the extreme step was found nearby. It also asked her to get married to a “good person”.Police said they came to know about the alleged suicide around 9pm. They said Prema’s husband Balwant Bisht worked with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and was posted in Delhi. The family hails from Uttarakhand’s Almora district, but has been living in Indirapuram for the past 10 years.SP (City) Shlok Kumar said: “A note has been found but it doesn’t say why they took this step. The 48-year-old woman’s husband had called his wife but she didn't respond. He then sent his relatives to his home, but it was locked from inside. The relatives broke open the house to find both the wife and daughter dead. The bodies have been sent for autopsy. We are probing the cause of suicide.”
