Ghaziabad: Police busted a fake job placement agency in Indirapuram and arrested three men working there on Tuesday. The agency, Dice.com, was functioning out of a rented flat in Gyan Khand 2.The three accused, identified as Pratap Vihar residents Honey, Saurabh and Hemant, are all in their early 20s. They told police they had been running the agency for the past three months and have duped around 40 people by promising them jobs in top firms. They allegedly used to charge anywhere between Rs 10,000 and Rs 20,000 from their clients as registration fees.Honey, who is studying in Class 12 in a private school in Madhopura, was the mastermind of the gang. His accomplices are Class 12 dropouts.“Though they were not very well educated, they were internet savvy. They would select a huge number of candidates from job portal Naukri.com and call these candidates from different mobile numbers offering them jobs. They have claimed to have duped around 40 persons so far by promising them jobs in top firms,” additional SP Ravi Kumar said. Police have recovered 11 mobile phones from the accused.
