NDA ally MGP supports One Nation One Election policy

Ponda: NDA's alliance partner Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP) has welcomed the move of the centre to appoint a committee headed by former President Ram Nath Kovind to decide on “One Nation One Election” policy. MGP President Deepak Dhavalikar told PTI that the decision of having “One Nation One Election” policy will go a long way in providing level playing field for all the political parties. “MGP welcomes the decision of the centre to appoint a committee headed by Kovind to decide on One Nation One Election policy” he said. Dhavalikar said that such a decision will help to minimize election expenditure and also avoid frequent code of conduct. He said that it will ensure that all the loopholes like dual voting are curbed.
