Discom error costs consumer Rs 75 lakh

Kashyap told TOI he first filed a complaint at the discom’s complaint centre. “I got no response from them,” he said. “Then I filed an online complaint, but nothing came of it. I messaged my bill details to the subdivision officer and also visited his office to apprise him but to no avail,” he said.Kashyap said his meter had sparked and turned defunct in May, then they got it replaced.A discom official said they are taking this issue up with the officials concerned. “It was a clerical error,” he said.
