Lawyer booked for scuffle with revenue officer

HISAR: A day after scuffle between a lawyer and a tehsildar, Hisar police had registered a case against the lawyer Anuj Gupta and his two others for obstructing public servant and other offences on Friday evening. District vice-president of the private school owners’ association R S Sandhu said Pilania had intervened on the spot and not the attack anyone. Chaudhary alleged that the lawyer started obstructing work and threatened him.Police said that a complaint was received on Wednesday and investigated the next day. The announcement has already been made of strike work till 1 am on Monday.

HISAR: A day after scuffle between a lawyer and a tehsildar, Hisar police had registered a case against the lawyer Anuj Gupta and his two others for obstructing public servant and other offences on Friday evening. Meanwhile, the district bar association has called a general house meeting on Monday to discuss the matter.Hisar police spokesperson Harish Bhardwaj said that Gupta and his two companions were booked on the complaint of tehsildar Vinay Chaudhary. The revenue officer said in his compliant that at the time of incident he was busy in work at his office. Gupta came with his two other friends and started pressurized him to decide the case of Shamsher versus Jaswant in village Nangathla and also used abusive language.Following this, he requested the lawyer for discuss the matter on the date of hearing. Chaudhary alleged that the lawyer started obstructing work and threatened him.Police said that a complaint was received on Wednesday and investigated the next day. Following which Chaudhary’s statement was recorded and this case was registered after getting legal opinion.President of the district bar association Pradip Bajia said they had received information of lodging the FIR. The announcement has already been made of strike work till 1 am on Monday. Now a general house meeting would be convened on Monday morning and future course of action decided.On the other hand, private school owners will hold a meeting on Sunday and protest against police for naming private school owner Haripal Pilania in this case. District vice-president of the private school owners’ association R S Sandhu said Pilania had intervened on the spot and not the attack anyone.
