GURUGRAM: A man who allegedly robbed Rs 20 lakh from a Pataudi-based businessman’s office after holding his brother hostage two months ago was arrested in DLF 2 on Friday. Police said he was trying to flee on a stolen motorcycle when he was nabbed. An FIR has been filed against him.Vikas alias Bichu (19) is a resident of Rithal village in Rohtak. According to cops, the Bilaspur crime unit got a tip-off on Friday that the accused was in DLF 2 to commit another crime. A police team led by sub-inspector Surender Singh conducted a raid and arrested Vikas. The stolen bike has been recovered.Four bike-borne assailants had robbed a liquor businessman’s office of Rs 20 lakh after holding his brother and one of his business partners hostage at gunpoint in Pataudi on May 7. Three of the accused were arrested after a few days, but Vikas had been on the run, cops said.“We are questioning the accused. A fresh FIR under sections 379 (theft) and 411 (dishonestly receiving stolen property) of the IPC has been registered against him at DLF 2 police station,” police spokesperson ASI Subhash Bokan said.
