GURUGRAM: A 24-year-old engineer died after falling off the third floor of Delhi Public School in Sector 45 while he was examining a solar power panel on Thursday. CB George, a BTech graduate from Kerala, got critically injured after he slipped off the building and was rushed to a private hospital, but he succumbed to the injuries after two hours.Upon receiving the information, George’s father rushed to the spot, but refused to file a complaint with police. The body was handed over to the family on Friday after autopsy, police said. George was working with a private company in Delhi.George went to DPS , Sector 45, around 5pm on Thursday on behalf of an agency to check the solar power system in the school. The solar panel was installed on the third floor. After slipping off the building, he fell on to a plastic rain guard and then on to the ground, according to police.School staff members and security guards gathered at the spot after hearing a loud thud.George suffered severe head injuries, and was rushed to Artemis hospital by the school authorities in their vehicle, but he died around two hours after he was admitted.At the school, his father George Thomas said he would not file a complaint with the police as he didn’t suspect any foul play. Police had taken the engineer’s body into custody for postmortem and handed over it to the family on Friday.“We have lodged a report on the incident. However, no complaint was filed by the engineer’s father,” said ASI Naresh Kumar of Sector 40 police station.
