On Wednesday (June 18), Mahesh had gone to the bus stop near the railway crossing at 6.40am to see off his two kids, who are nine-year-old twins, to school. “Several raids are being conducted by different teams at different locations, and we are hoping to nab the accused at the earliest,” said Subhash Bokan, spokesperson of Gurugram police. Gorkha arrived in an SUV with Devender and they shot at Mahesh six times, killing him on the spot in front of his children. As the crime was committed on the railway tracks, which comes under the jurisdiction of railways, cops refused to file an FIR. Later, Government Railway Police (GRP) filed an FIR against Gorkha and Devender, their mother, Roshni, and four unidentified persons under sections 302 ( murder ) and 34 (common intention) of the IPC and relevant sections of the Arms Act.The victim’s family said they are not satisfied with the investigation.“If the accused aren’t arrested in the next 24 hours, then we will hold a ‘rail roko’ protest at the railway crossing on Wednesday morning. We will sit on an indefinite fast and block the railway track because it is the place where Mahesh was murdered,” said Suresh Yadav, Mahesh’s brother.Villagers alleged that accused are freely moving from one location to other but police has failed to arrest them even after four days.Meanwhile, cops said GRP, along with Gurugram police, have formed different teams which are conducting raids to nab the accused.
