GURUGRAM: The Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation ( HSIIDC ) has deposited Rs 30 crore to the district revenue department, for disbursement among land owners as compensation for 40-acre land acquired in Panchgaon , the site where the Kherki Daula toll plaza on NH-8 is likely to be shifted.HSIIDC will hand over the land to NHAI once the district revenue officer (DRO) finishes disbursing the compensation. Environmentalists, though, continued to question the government’s motive, and asked why it wasn’t withdrawing from the Sehrawan toll case, which is currently in the NGT. “HSIIDC has deposited Rs 30 crore with the district revenue department as compensation for those whose land we’ve acquired,” said HSIIDC official Rampal Singh Unhappy about the development, industrialists said it appears to them that the government is serious about relocating the toll plaza, and has started the ground work for it. The Panchgaon one will have 11 more,” said Gaind.Environmentalists feel there is a catch in the relocation business. If they are going to get 40 acre in Panchgaon, why are they still fighting the case to build a toll plaza in Sehrawan?” asked Yadav.
