GURUGRAM: A cab driver was arrested on Tuesday night for allegedly molesting a pedestrian when she objected to rash driving The rear view mirror on the side of the cab hit the woman, which led to an argument between them. According to the police report, the woman a resident of DLF III U block, was returning home through the basement market in DLF III around 9.30pm when the cab brushed past her and hit her elbow with the rear view mirror.“The cab was being driven very rashly when it hit me. When I objected to rash driving he stopped the car and came out in anger. Then he molested me and insulted me. I got scared, and immediately called police,” the woman alleged in her complaint to the police.The police reached the spot after receiving the call, and nabbed the accused as he was still there fighting with the woman.An FIR was registered against the driver under sections 279 (rash driving), 336 (act endanger life of others), 354 (molestation), 509 (insult the modesty of woman) of IPC at DLF-III police station.“We seized the cab that belongs to a private company. The driver, a resident of Shahajahanpur, Rajasthan, was produced in a city court from where he was granted bail,” said ASI Jaswant Singh, who is investigating the case.
