CHANDIGARH : The room where the minor girl of Rewari district was allegedly gang-raped is infamous for notorious activities in the village. The room was used as a place to consume liquor and to provide intoxicants to young boys, said sources.Videos posted on social media by one of the three accused, Nishu Phogat, indicate how the room was used for wrongdoings. In one video that is 18.56 minutes long, posted by Phogat on Facebook , showed how they had sold a cartload of empty bottles of liquor to a local scrap dealer Kalu. The video also showed a head of an animal, believed to be that of a Neel Gai, allegedly poached by the owner of the place Deen Dayal and his friends.Dayal, one of the three accused arrested by the special investigations team (SIT) headed by Mewat superintendent of police (SP) Nazneen Bhasin, is currently lodged in police custody.Sources in village said there had been incidents of Dayal and Phogat threatening villagers when they objected to the wrongs done in the room.Meanwhile, Haryana DGP B S Sandhu said, “It was not just video but there was lot of incriminating material found on Nishu’s wall. We have already asked our cyber team to examine the entire account. This issue is under legal examination and if given the go ahead, we shall register the separate case into it.”When contacted, Rewari SP Rahul Sharma said, “As of now, the room is sealed for investigations in the rape case.”
